| Why learn English is important? |
Have you ever wondered why the people of South India are at the peak of global development?
How do Indians win today in all the big organizations?
The reason for this is the same, their proficiency in English as well as an international language. In many ways, they are more proficient in English than English or Americans.
Many people in our country say that when people learn English, their character becomes zero according to foreigners. Even their religion is ruined. But is that really so? Currently, there is a global competition to learn English as an international language. You may be wondering why I am also advocating for English, according to John McCall, the British-Indian education adviser. In fact, the two reasons are completely different. John McLean wanted to create a group of English-educated lakes to rule then India, which would be Indian in blood but British in thought. In a word, brokers of the West. Considering the current situation in India, he can be called successful in this regard.
And we want since there is no substitute for language in expressing human knowledge, competence, and expression, so strong languages should be mastered by us.
Well, do you know what language most people in the world speak today? Close your eyes and think a little. Did you find the answer in the vast world of the mind? Well, guys - listen, that's Mandarin (Chinese). Did you think of anything else? In fact, as a nation, the Chinese are the majority in the world (one-fourth of the world), so this language is the situation. But as a nation, the number of English-speaking nations in the world is the highest. On the other hand, almost all countries in the world now use English as their second language. As such, English is no longer just the language of English Americans, it is now a universal language.
Ninety-five percent of the media and information technology that controls the world today is in English. Just say business, say higher education, say communication, say science, say literature, everything is now in English. Even Rabindranath Tagore, Asia's first Nobel laureate, would not have received the Nobel Prize for Gitanjali if it had not been translated into English. In a word, we are useless in today's world without English. I am not saying that everyone has to be a linguist according to Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah. However, we need to know Bengali as well as English as a competent people. Today we will talk about the importance of English. Allah Almighty has emphasized language learning. He says in the holy book, the Holy Qur'an, "Allama Hul Bayan," meaning he taught people to speak. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked his appointed foreign minister, Zayd ibn Thabit Ansari, to teach Hebrew to the Jews in order to invite them to the religion. Zayd, a brilliant Companion, learned Hebrew in just thirteen days. He could also speak four other languages. So it is necessary to know the English language in order to spread one's opinion all over the world at present. Pythagoras, the father of world-famous geometry, used to say that human life depends on the Olympic Games. Some Lakes play on the field to win prizes, others sell colorful items to spectators in the hope of making a small profit. And there is a kind of lake that only sees jokes. Now you have to think about which team you want to be in!
1. In the team of players hoping to become champions?
2. In the team of vendors expecting little profit?
3. Or just applauding the audience?
If the aspiring players want to join the team, then you have to work hard, you have to work hard.
A tragic incident
On 12 November 1997, two Saudi and a Kazakh aircraft collided head-on on Indian soil. All 349 passengers on both planes were killed. Can you imagine the cause of this terrible conflict? Just before the crash, the Kazakh pilot was told from the control room not to lift his plane further, as a Saudi plane was approaching from the other side in parallel. But what misfortune! Kazakh pilot English did not understand that instruction correctly. As a result, this terrible destruction happened.
The most tragic thing that happens as a result of not understanding the language
As you know, at the end of World War II, on August 6, 1945, in the city of Hiroshima, Japan, the United States dropped the world's first atomic bomb, the Little Boy. But the real reason behind it was the destruction of Japan by the US seaport Pearl Harbor a few days ago. And the reason behind the attack on that famous Pearl Harbor was - not understanding English. The Japanese were able to catch a secret radio message from the Allies. As a result, they assumed that America was preparing to attack Japan from Pearl Harbor. And understanding this English, they attacked Pearl Harbor earlier on the basis of misconceptions. This resulted in the worst attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in memory. So you understand that not knowing English at the present time is not only lagging behind in development but in many cases it is suicidal.
How to start learning English.
The hardest part is getting started. Several years ago in Italy, there was an argument between two friends about ‘before the egg or before the chicken’, then a quarrel and then one of them shot and killed another dear friend. So here too there is a debate within English experts before grammar or before specimen?
Since we are ordinary people, we are in such a high-profile debate I don't want to. But everything has a natural aspect like if we think a little we will find out how we learned the language in childhood. For example, when we talk, the young children look at each other with wide eyes in amazement, which means that Shane looks at them with attention. Then slowly he started talking with the words ma-a, mama, baba, etc. Much later he learns to read, to write slowly, and finally to learn grammar. There is no need to prove this, it can be understood by looking at a sixth child. We have all adopted this method of mother tongue education. So we also learn English in a natural way.
