History of hip hop music

You must have heard the name of Eminem? Doesn't his songs feel a little different from ordinary artists? Or have you heard the songs of Rana and Tabib Mahbub, the current popular boy in Bangladesh? How come there is no other appeal in these songs?

These songs make Spiha a little different than the usual romantic songs. These are called rap songs. And this rap song is a branch of hip-hop music. But many people think that rap songs are hip hop songs. In fact, hip-hop refers to a whole cultural movement, not just music.

Hip-hop originally developed around four distinct catches. These include rap (oral rhythmic fast songs), DJ (modern music-based disco songs), beatboxes (music made using word process), and graffiti (graffiti and protest painting).

Let's take a look at a brief history of hip-hop raging around the world.

The word hip-hop was first coined by a man named Keith Cowboy. Cowboys began using the term in songs performed on his stage. Gradually other artists also started using it. But the real pioneer of hip-hop was DJ Cleve ‘Cool Hark’ Campbell of Jamaican descent. Through his keen intellect and music sense, he wrote all the protesting songs and lyrics that formed a strong base for hip-hop music. An author named Steven Hager first used the term in his writings, which were later published in a magazine called Village Boys. The history of hip-hop was written by Steven Hager in 1984. Although the hip-hop's official journey began in New York City in the 1960s, the origins of hip-hop actually come from African music. West Africa had a band called ‘Greets’, they sang a kind of rhythmic song that was a lot like a rap song. Hip-hop music was heavily influenced by disco music, which was extremely popular at the time. Although hip-hop songs were not initially very popular in the United States, they became very popular in neighboring Jamaica. Behind the popularity of this type of music is the influence of the American sailor. The first song recorded was a song called "Rapper Delight" which was released in 1969 by a band called "Super hill Gangs". Since the 1960s, hip-hop music has become popular around the world. The late eighties and early nineties marked the golden age of hip-hop music. Since then, this music has become a worldwide protest language, not just music. Although different in each country, hip hop still flows for its real purpose.

In a real sense, it can be called a worldwide musical pandemic. Although there was not much commercial development in the beginning, a strong global commercial music industry has gradually developed around hip-hop music. Various critics say sales of hip-hop albums have declined since 2005. It is shown as an image of the popular decline of such songs. But the reality is that album sales have plummeted as the younger generation relies on internet downloads. Yet there are many hip-hop artists who are still at the top in terms of commercial popularity.

Ever since hip-hop was founded, it has begun to have a huge impact on young society as a social movement. In the present age, the awareness of the people has increased a lot and they believe in freedom of expression. It is now quite normal to protest against any kind of injustice. And hip hop may be one of the driving forces of this movement. It is very easy for everyone to become united in the culture that hip hop creates in the masses with a combination of strong writing melodies and music. As evidence, you can learn about the role of hip-hop in the Arab Spring in Egypt or in the rights of minorities in many parts of the world, including France, Germany, Turkey or Algeria. And so no one now disagrees with the effects of hip-hop.

There are good and bad sides to everything. Similarly, there is a lot of conflict and poison with hip-hop. Hip-hop music has to face severe restrictions as it can quickly affect people. It is very common to ban hip hop on different pretexts at different times. In this case, the government alone is not to blame, hip-hop also has a problem. One of the subplots of hip hop is gangsta rap, this type of song is much more aggressive. These songs promote inaudible insults, blasphemy, comments on various controversial issues, violent lifestyles, etc. in a very heinous way. This is why many people criticize hip hop music. Although the gangsta rappers say that these songs are part of their lives, all the realities that happen, just tell the true story. They are just practicing Freedom of Expression!

There is also another type of hip-hop song that only deals with money, women, fights and drugs. Sadly, this type of hip-hop song is now the most popular. There are also some heresy songs in which the worship of Satan becomes the main one. This kind of music is just as dangerous for ordinary people as it is for a sick culture. You have to decide which way to go at the expense of your own conscience.
